Paperface, is a singer songwriter from London that has been described as writing, ’beautiful and darkly funny songs, tinged with irony and rich in observation’. Over the last few years, he has built up a loyal following partly aided by the amazing support from BBC 6 music, but also a reputation for fantastic live shows, in no small part due to his brilliantly entertaining band that despite plying their trade on the sun-soaked shores of the Côte d’Azur, are always ready to travel to his side.
Paperface is unusual, in that he has spent well over a decade writing soundtracks and scores for Television with over 1000 published tracks to his name. Having established himself as one of the most successful media composers in the UK, he started to release his own songs and was overwhelmed by the positive response.
More recently, he has added another string to his bow by making his own stop-motion animations to accompany his songs. His two most recent videos have won eighteen awards and nominations at various film festivals around the world, including the Cannes Independent Shorts Festival, The Montecatini International Film Festival, and most recently, The Discover Film Festival in London.
He has released studio two albums, ‘Out of Time’ and ‘Love in the Time of Florida’. He is currently working on a third, ‘The Man Who Couldn’t Sing’, due out later this year.
